Syllabus
Course Overview:
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland explained that there should be no more shame in acknowledging mental illness and emotional disorders than in "acknowledging a battle with high blood pressure or the sudden appearance of a malignant tumor.” Mental and emotional health challenges can impact anyone, regardless of education, geography, faith, calling, or family. This workshop provides an opportunity to deepen your understanding of gospel principles that relate to stress, anxiety, depression, negative thought patterns, perfectionism, and more. We will explore strategies and tools that can improve our own mental and emotional health and that can also help us be better prepared to minister to and support those facing mental illness and emotional disorders.
